Lucky Chip, Hackney

Lucky Chip @ The Sebright Arms

Lucky Chip @ The Sebright Arms
The Tom Selleck - Aged beef patty, oak smoked bacon, beetroot flavoured onion ring, pineapple, cheddar, BBQ sauce

Lucky Chip @ The Sebright Arms
The messiest burger I have ever eaten, but worth every mouthful

Verdict - Right up there with the best burgers I have tasted. Apparently the cheeseburger was delicious and the chips weren't half bad either.

Cost - About £6 a burger

Location - Either the Sebright Arms or Netil Market. Keep an eye on their twitter account for updates.

Banh Mi 11, Berwick St

Banh Mi 11

Banh Mi 11

Banh Mi 11

Verdict - Banh Mi 11 are old timers to the relatively young streetfood circuit, having peddled their Vietnamese baguettes in Broadway market for the last few years now. Now with a new home on Berwick street market during the week, you can enjoy their excellent banh mi. Coming in a variety of flavours, I went with the Imperial BBQ which was packed full of herbs, chilli, pickles and meat. Highly recommended

Cost - Between £4.50 and £6

Location - Berwick St Market during the week, and Broadway market on Saturdays I believe. Keep an eye on their website or twitter account for details.

The Rib Man, Brick Lane

The Rib Man
A very sleep deprived Marc Gevaux (aka The Rib Man)

The Rib Man
A massive rib roll

Verdict - Not necessarily what you would automatically expect from something labelled as "ribs" as they are slow cooked over night to reduce the ribs into more of a pulled pork consistency. Ask for some of his special "Holy Fuck" hot sauce for an explosion of heat. Not for the faint hearted, and almost as famous as the Rib Mans rib meat rolls, for good reason.

Cost - A Fiver

Location - Either at Brick Lane on Sundays, or Eat Street on Thursdays. Keep an eye on his site The Rib Man for more details.

Pizza Pilgrims, Berwick Street

Pizza Pilgrims

Berwick Street Market

Berwick Street Market

Pizza Pilgrims

Verdict - Run by two brothers and a friend, these guys went all the way down to Sicily to get their Piaggio Ape pizza van and drove it the whole 4000 miles back to London. Having picked up the tricks of the trade in Naples, these guys dish up excellent pizzas just big enough to satisfy one mans appetite. With rotating specials, and some interesting partnerships in the pipeline, keep an eye on these guys for a refreshing London version of the old Neapolitan pizzas.

Cost - £5-£6

Location - Normally on Berwick Street Market during the week, but often wheels itself around London. Keep an eye on their twitter page for updates.
